GRAND PRIZE CASH GIVEAWAY!
Educational opportunities will abound both on and off the show floor at BMSA’s 2016 Building Products Show in Hickory! There are so many opportunities and it’s hard to put them all into one email so I’ll be highlighting special ones individually over the next few weeks, but you can view them all right now by simply clicking on Information on Show Programs.
In addition to the the programs listed on the link above, Casey Voorhees will be presenting two full-day seminars and his Estimating Program that is two days. The first of these to be held on Monday, February 1st, is Introduction to Building Material Sales. Following this on Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 2 & 3, Casey will do a Basic Blueprint Reading and Material Take Off program. On Thursday, February 4th, he will do an Advanced Blueprint Reading program.
If you have new employees who aren’t as experienced in the building material industry (for example, office employees, counter, sales or yard personnel) who need to understand lumber, the terms that are used and how selling is done in this industry, Casey’s new “Introduction to Building Material Sales” can give them this information! He uses the Lumber Reference Manual that BMSA sells as their guide through this special day-long program.
Then, employees who are new or those who are a little more seasoned but haven’t done a lot of work with blueprints and working on quotes will gain a wealth of knowledge in Casey’s 2-day Basic Blueprint Reading and Material Take-off program. This program has received rave review each time we hold it. And, what better time to send your employees than when they can not only go to class, but can follow it up by viewing the materials that are being discussed by going to BMSA’s Show! On the second day of this seminar they will have lunch on the show floor. This is a special opportunity to reinforce the information they are receiving in class!
On Thursday, Casey is going to hold another new program – an Advanced Estimating Class. It’s important that you understand this is an Advanced Class. If your employee has been through the basic estimating first, he/she should be ready for this. But if you decide to put a more seasoned estimator in this class, please be sure he/she is really ready for it as the class will be dealing with the more difficult areas of estimating.
This can truly be a week of training that will benefit your employees and the company for years to come. Don’t miss this opportunity.
You can register for all of these full-day seminars as well as the programs that are held on Wednesday with one form. You’ll receive a discount for any attendees registering for all three of the programs held on February 3rd at the Hickory Convention Center! Just click here to register! You can also print the entire Agenda by clicking here. We look forward to seeing you in Hickory!
